The success of the 2023 Stand Down would not have been possible without the efforts of the over one hundred volunteers in attendance. To make the 2024 Stand Down successful, we will need everyone who can help at all, from set up to break down. Veterans served all of us, so this is a chance to support and help veterans when they need assistance.
All volunteers must register by Friday, September 27, 2024, and attend orientation before the Stand Down begins. No walk-ins will be taken at the Stand Down.
During the event, we need volunteers to perform tasks including checking registration, helping veterans with limited mobility, assisting our service providers as runners with messages and delivering food, overseeing the giveaway tables, aiding with food distribution, cleaning up throughout the day, and more. No tasks require any specific skills, only that you be ready to help. Please see the signup sheet for the times when we currently need volunteers at the Stand Down.
